We cleaned exhaust soot from hi-los that go through a vestibule that goes from an unrefrigerated into a refrigerated cold-storage food facility. The soot from the hi-los exhaust had covered the exhaust fan, ceiling, and walls in this “pass-through.” When we started the cleaning, it was so bad that we did not even know that the exhaust fan was there!
We cleaned a diamond-plated floor grating that had buildup of oil and grease. Walking on it was becoming very slippery, but it was close to machinery that they did not want to get wet, so power washing was not an option.
A painting company painted over mold, and as you can see, the mold bled through the paint. We were not tasked with taking the paint off per se, we were trying to get the mold off the wood.
F.A.Q.
What are some common applications of dry ice cleaning in facilities?
What types of facilities can benefit from dry ice cleaning?
Dry ice cleaning can benefit a wide range of facilities, including manufacturing plants, warehouses, food processing facilities, automotive plants, printing facilities, power generation plants, historical sites, and more. It is suitable for cleaning various surfaces such as metal, concrete, wood, plastic, rubber, and glass.
How does dry ice cleaning compare to traditional cleaning methods for facility maintenance?
Can dry ice cleaning be used to clean sensitive equipment and electronics in facilities?
Yes, dry ice cleaning can be safely used to clean sensitive equipment and electronics in facilities, including control panels, electrical enclosures, machinery, conveyor belts, and more. The non-conductive nature of dry ice and the controlled pressure of the cleaning process make it suitable for cleaning delicate components without causing damage.
Does dry ice cleaning leave behind any residue?
No, dry ice cleaning leaves behind no secondary waste or residue. The solid CO2 pellets sublimate upon impact, converting directly from a solid to a gas, leaving the cleaned surfaces dry and residue-free. This eliminates the need for additional cleanup or rinsing after the cleaning process.
How does dry ice cleaning help improve facility hygiene and safety?
Is dry ice cleaning suitable for preventive maintenance in facilities?
Yes, dry ice cleaning is an effective preventive maintenance solution for facilities. Regular cleaning with dry ice blasting helps prevent the buildup of residues, dirt, and contaminants, reducing the risk of equipment failure, downtime, and costly repairs. It also helps maintain facility cleanliness, hygiene, and compliance with industry standards.
